Description
Immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Emilia-Romagna with an exclusive visit to Galeazza Castle, an architectural gem located on the border between Bologna, Ferrara and Modena. This is not just a castle, but a fascinating journey through seven centuries of Italian history.
Built as a military outpost in the 14th century at the behest of the legendary commander Galeazzo Pepoli, the castle was transformed over time into a sumptuous stately home, before being reborn in the 19th century as an elegant neo-Gothic residence. Its stables became famous thanks to Vandalo, the legendary trotting horse.
After meticulous restoration following the 2012 earthquake, Galeazza Castle is now a powerful symbol of rebirth and beauty. During your visit, you can admire the majestic tower, the enchanting villa, the historic stables and a magnificent park. The parts still to be restored make the setting of this splendid piece of architecture in the plains even more evocative.
Part of the proceeds from the visit will go towards the architectural restoration of the entire castle.
